By Steve BowerFox Sports 2K16 will be the 2nd biggest game of the weekend.
The latest from 2K Sports:New York Knicks | Boston Celtics | Denver Nuggets | Dallas Mavericks | New Orleans Pelicans | Oklahoma City Thunder| Orlando MagicThe biggest games of the week have come from the 2-time defending NBA champions, as the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics have both made major roster changes.
For New York, it’s the move of Tyson Chandler, who is no longer a Knick.
The Celtics’ biggest loss is DeMar DeRozan, who’s been injured for most of the season.
DeRozans future with the team is uncertain, but it’s expected he’ll sign with the Miami Heat.
Boston has lost Brandon Bass, who was one of the best defenders in the league last season, and Jae Crowder, who signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Boston Celtics.
Crowder will be able to compete for minutes and play with Paul Pierce and Avery Bradley, two of the game’s best defenders.
It’s unclear if the Celtics will retain Jae Crowner or whether he’ll be traded.
Boston has been a playoff team the last few years, and the team has been one of its most successful in that span.
But the team’s recent history has not been a success, and that could be on the line if it falls short of the expectations of the fans.
New Orleans will have to get by without DeMarre Carroll, who will miss the next three games due to a knee injury.
And the Pelicans have lost their best player, Jrue Holiday, and will be without his backup point guard, Terrence Jones.
Both players have been in the rotation since last season.
It’ll be interesting to see how the team responds to injuries to Holiday and Jones.
New Orleans is 4-4 and currently in second place in the East.
The Celtics have dropped four of their last five games, but that could all change if they fall short of their current expectations.
With the loss of Isaiah Thomas, the Celtics have lost one of their best players.
Thomas has averaged 15.4 points and 8.7 rebounds in the last four games.
The Pelicans have had their issues in recent years, but they’ve won three straight.
They beat the Brooklyn Nets 107-101 on Saturday, and have won four of five.
However, it wasn’t all good news for the Pelicans, as they were swept by the Washington Wizards 107-102 on Saturday.
Bradley has been on a tear, averaging 25.6 points and 11.7 assists.
He’s been especially valuable in this series, averaging 22.5 points and 7.5 assists in the two games in which he’s been on the court.
This series has the potential to be one of those series where it’s not just about one team winning, but also winning in a way that is consistent.
Hopefully, the Pelicans get a win tonight, because the Celtics are likely to take the series.
